Ministries & Opportunities for Fellowship
Grow in faith. Build relationships. Serve with purpose.

At Salem Lutheran, we believe church is more than a Sunday morning experience—it's a community where people of all ages come together to grow spiritually, support one another, and serve in Christ’s name. Whether you're looking to connect through worship, study, service, or friendship, there's a place for you here.
Women's Ministry

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Wrapped in love. Covered in prayer.
The Prayer Comfort Ministry began in May 2019 and brings together people of all ages who enjoy knitting or crocheting as a way to offer comfort, care, and celebration through handmade prayer shawls and lapghans. Each item is created with love and prayer, then given to individuals experiencing difficult or joyous life moments—a tangible reminder that they are surrounded by the prayers of others.
We welcome all skill levels—members and non-members, men and women, young and old—to be part of this quiet but powerful ministry. Our group currently includes seven dedicated ladies, and we meet on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the church Parlor. Each gathering includes time for prayer, sharing finished pieces, and fellowship.
To date, we’ve lovingly crafted and gifted 145 shawls and lapghans. We’re also grateful for yarn donations from both members and non-members—it's a wonderful way to support the ministry even if you don’t knit or crochet!
We’re excited to see how God continues to grow this ministry.

Happy knitting, crocheting, and blessings to all!
Youth Group

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

At Salem Lutheran, our youth program is all about building lasting friendships, growing in faith, and having a whole lot of fun along the way. Open to middle and high school students, we create a welcoming space where young people can explore their faith, serve their community, and develop as leaders—all while forming meaningful connections with peers and adult mentors.

From Bible studies and service projects to retreats, mission trips, and game nights, there’s always something happening—and there’s always a place for you.

Come as you are. Bring your questions. Find your people.
